The Raymond mill is a kind of pulverizing equipment with strong versatility. It must have the characteristics of dry continuous pulverizing, concentrated particle size distribution, continuously adjustable fineness, and compact structure. The particle size of the Raymond mill can be adjusted within the range of 0.125-0.044mm (equivalent to 120-325 mesh) according to different requirements.
Raymond mill has a small footprint, is easy to adjust, feeds uniformly, is small in size and light in weight, and saves fuel and electricity, and is easy to use and maintain.
During the use of the Raymond mill, a fixed person should be responsible for the supervision, and the operator must have a certain technical level. Before the installation of the pulverizer, the operator must carry out the necessary technical training to make him understand the principle and performance of the pulverizer and be familiar with the operating procedures.


 

Difference between Vertical mills and Raymond mills

1. The internal structure is different
Vertical mills and Raymond mills are similar in appearance, but have different internal structures, so their working methods are slightly different. 
When the vertical mill is running, the position of the grinding roller of the vertical mill is fixed. The grinding roller rotates and has no direct contact with the grinding disc. The bottom grinding disc keeps rotating, and the material in the gap between the grinding roller and the grinding disc is rolled and pulverized. When checking and repairing, the vertical mill roller can be turned out and checked through the lever bracket, and the operation is convenient and simple.
The internal structure of the Raymond mill is very different from that of the vertical mill. The spring plum frame of the Raymond mill is equipped with 5 or 6 evenly distributed grinding rollers. The grinding rollers move in a circular motion around the central axis, and the bottom is shoveled. The material raised by the knife is sent between the grinding roller and the sidewall grinding ring for grinding. Raymond grinding ring is fixed, it is the side wall of the mill.
But whether it is a vertical mill or a Raymond mill, gypsum, heavy calcium and other materials are ground between the grinding disc and the grinding roller. After the material is ground, the powder particles are brought into the analyzer with the circulating air of the blower for sorting. The coarse material will be reground, and the qualified fine powder will enter the cyclone powder collector with the airflow and be discharged through the powder pipe.
 
2. The range of grinding fineness is different 
Raymond mill has a long history, and the particle size range of the finished product is slightly coarse, ranging from 325 mesh to 10 mesh. 
Vertical mill is based on Raymond mill and improved technology to make the finished product particle size finer, which is between 325 mesh and 85 mesh.
At the same time, the vertical mill is a high-efficiency grinding equipment integrating drying, grinding, grading and conveying. It has its own drying system, which reduces the moisture content of the finished product and has less system equipment.
 
3. Different applicable objects 
There is a certain difference between the use environment of Raymond mill and vertical mill. Raymond mills are mainly used for small and medium-sized enterprises. The models and weights are relatively diverse, and the prices range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands.
Vertical mills are mainly suitable for large enterprises. The weight and size are relatively large and the smallest. It also costs several hundred thousand yuan. 
 
4. Different fields of application 
Both Raymond mills and vertical mills have a high market utilization rate, and their application industries are relatively similar, such as metallurgy, construction and building materials, chemicals, refractory materials, pharmaceuticals, mining crushing powder, etc., but in comparison, the vertical mill is more suitable for large-scale professional industrial fields, such as cement and non-metallic mining industries. The vertical mill has its own drying function, which is very cost-effective among similar equipment. The Raymond mill is the first generation mill with traditional technology and stable quality and reassuring.
